The girls are about 3 months, give or take.
The other day, I tossed a few shovels of sandbox sand into the run. Two of the smaller ones stood in it and scratched around, wiggling their butts. The others stood around, observing. The two then dove in, wallowing in the sand. Then four more jumped in! 6 little chickens rolling around in the sand! Too funny! The little Silkie just wiggled her butt a little bit. She didn't go to down with it like the others. The larger Silkie was picking bits of sand off of the backs of the others.
Yesterday, they got a little bowl of spaghetti. Now I know what other posters mean about "keep away!" Each time one girl ran off with a strand, she'd have 2 others chasing her around the run!
They're absolutely entertaining. Definitely "Chicken TV."
