What kind of sand should I put in my chicken run? I have heard mixed things about useing play sand or river sand. Could you guys please help me so I get the right kind of sand for my Run.

Inexpensive sand :) I buy coarse builder's sand at the lumberyard. No need for fine and more expensive playground sand. My chicken yard is packed dirt (packed by the hens) and I add a bag of sand now and then to loosen things up and help drainage. It's easy to keep raked and tidy. You can see what it looks like on my live-streaming cams at HenCam.com.

I use river sand... Here it's 17 dollars a scoop. A scoop and a half filled my 5x14 run 4 inches deep

I personally used play sand. Landscape grade sand often has large amounts of Silica when can be harmful to the bird's and your lungs.
