SAND for Coop

Sand........my coop 4x5 inside measurement with a solid concrete floor, I'm thinkin about going with a sand bed....what sand should I NOT use?

You want a washed, course sand. Like this.
Just beware that I've seen many people move on from sand in the coop, for one reason or another. Is there a reason you're drawn to it (like easy cleanup)? You can also split the difference with shavings on the floor, and a poop shelf under the roost with a thin layer of sand or PDZ.

I think sand on concrete is a recipe for stinky bacteria buildup. I'd suggest a very absorbent bedding (wood pellets, shavings, hemp) perhaps over vinyl sheet flooring.
