Sand for grit?

I am using sand in my run and coop, do I still need to provide grit? There are fairly large pieces of rock in the sand I am using. Picture of one of my girls just because

There are some pretty big pieces in there. I think it should probably be fine. Just watch your chickens and make sure they are eating the pebbles, and they are digesting properly.

Ok, thank you! I do have an unopened bag of grit that I'll go ahead and put out just because. Hopefully i won't have to buy anymore
