sand in run ?

can i use any builders sand in my run ?

Sounds like a great idea. The chickens can use it in their gizzard to grind food.

alot of people say play sand but i think that could end up pretty pricey

Builders and or play sand are both OK. Stay away from filter sand. It can contain some nasty stuff.
