Sand in the run?

Hello to everyone !! My problem is that the run for my hens about 2 inches thick with mud!! I have a pickup load of sand that I got to sand my drive way when it got icey but did not need it , so would it hurt to spead it in the run??

no spread that load of sand in your run.it wont hurt the hens at all.an it might even dry some of the mudd up.

I was wishing for sand a week ago for my run-had to use shaving instead

I used sand last fall with great results.
