Sand or deep litter method

I have a 10x12 coop with a wood floor, that houses 8 chickens. Trying to figure out what kind of bedding to use..... So far, sand or deep litter method are looking the best for me. Which do you use?

I'm new at this too but it seems that I will probably just keep on going with sand, as that is why I have in the coop. And you can't really beat three bucks a bag around here.
