Sand paper like egg

My hen, Alice, just began laying eggs. Todays egg felt like it had a sand paper like egg shell. It remained even after I washed it. The other hens lay nice smooth eggs. I feed my 17 hens all flock crumbles due to having geese too. They also free range. What might the cause for this rough textured egg be?

It just happens , it can be calcium build up , or she laid it too soon ,

Nothing to worry about they aren’t always perfect

It can take some new layers some time to work out the glitches in the system. Make sure you always have free choice oyster shells available for their calcium needs.
