For all you people in my area especially FL, who use sand in their coop and run, what kind of sand are you using, and where are you getting it?

Look up in the phone book for sand and gravel yards in your area. They will have grades of sand from fine beach sand to coarse construction sand. You will marvel at your choices. They all deliver.

I;ve already checked 2 places, one has a 6 yard minimum, the other only has fine sand.

I’m in Texas and I use Play Sand. It’s on the finer side. I just mix some Food Grade DE in with it on the first layering just to get all the moisture out

If you have a pickup, they can load half a yard into a light pickup and one yard into a full size. That's how I bring home sand. No delivery fees. Ask them, but you'd need to have access to a pick up. It's real cheap this way.
