Sand

Will ordinary beach sand be good enough for flooring in my run, nest boxes, and hen house?

I would think ocean sand might harbor unwanted bacteria, salt....

I live in the northern most part of upper Michigan. I'm not near an ocean

Ok, so you are getting what we call bank sand here. It can be bought by the yard. As long as what you get is free of debris, should be fine. Anyone else have a thought?

I posted the same question last night. Several people said it was fine so long as it's not filled with debris. They suggested I go look before ordering.
