Sanding instead of clipping?

Can you put a sanding block or a big rock in the cage with chickens ?will they sand Thier own beak or must we clip Thier beaks

You do not have to clip a chickens beak. A large since or cinder block in the run would be good for them to use if you cannot free range them.
