Early this morning at about 0445 Scoob (dog) jumped up and started barking. I let him out and he charged into yard and began patrolling chicken roosts. It did not take long to find that the front porch flock had been disturbed and everyone was off roost. Recently the entire front porch flock had taken to roosting on gutter above front porch because a rival domnique cross flocked had moved to avoid harassment by barred owl(s). Somebody that can get onto ten to thirty foot roof was problem. It could have been Santa owing to timing or darn barred owl is doing its thing again.
