Santa, Easter Bunny and the like....

Just another friendly reminder: We have little eyes on this site. What
you tell your children is your business.

My son looks forward to Santa and may for another year or two until he
is too old. Santa only brings gifts to the little kids because he is such a busy
guy. My son knows very well that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of
our Savior, Jesus. Just ask him if you would like.

Those that don't get a visit from Santa - have been VERY VERY bad - not believing in him is an excuse to cover up being BAD! (trust me, been there done that!)

He always visits OUR house - some years when children have been good, there are nice BIG gifts - other years, a little smaller - my kids haven't ever been naughty enough not to warrent a visit!

My family used to do the whole church thing every holiday. Easter and Christmas Eve we would go to church, but as the years went on, holidays became more of days for our family to just spend together. We always did the santa, easter bunny, tooth fairy and probably a dozen different other holidays, whether they were made up or not! Some years we got more than others, but it was always in fun. I believed in Santa for a long time!

We have a lot of fun traditions we do as a family and it gets harder and harder to do them as my brother and I get older. Our family is not super religious, and I don't really think any of these holidays ever held too much religious value for me. I mean, I was always familiar with the birth of jesus, etc., but the "Other" side of these holidays is also very interesting to me as well. I think the most important thing for me is being able to have a relaxing day to spend with family. It truly helps me to be thankful for what I have.

I know when I have children of my own, I will want them to experience what I experienced as a child, so I'm sure my family traditions now will stick with me for years to come! I don't think there is anything wrong with no visits from santa or the easter bunny though. Everybody has their own ways of doing things.

This is exactly why Santa DOES come to our house, even though he didn't before!!!!

It all depends on if you believe in him or not. If you didn't, well I guess he wouldn't bother to show up!
