This ad is for ONE chicken/rooster named Boo.
Hatched May 17th, 2024. He's 4 months old today (9/17) and is as big as our grown hens. His mom is a sweet Brahma. His dad is a Sapphire Gem. We thought we kept only female babies, but this guy snuck through our"sexing" screening. (Wishful thinking, because we *love* our Brahmas and this guy's look is so unique!)
We ignored a few signs he might be a boy, as Brahma females have pointed hackle and saddle feathers...BYC had a couple people saying he might be a hen, so we were hopeful.... but... he has started trying to mate with his mom yesterday, ha. We are not allowed Roos in the city limits, so need to rehome this beautiful guy. We had a Brahma roo once, and he didn't crow until he was around 6 months old, so we have a little time left with our buddy... but, hopefully, he can find a home with you!
Boo is a gentle, shy guy. He'd rather run around by himself and hang near his mama. He allows my kids to pester him with hugs and kisses. Only fed organic feed and scraps from our organic garden. He was hatched and raised with his mama and has been outdoors his whole life. He's super healthy and strong.
All of his hatchmates had the pretty "lacing" on their feathers, but he is, arguably, one of the prettiet we have ever hatched. Once fully grown, he'll be gorgeous.
As a pet/flock mate only. **Not for fighting**.
