His size is going to impress you. Mine is almost a year and a half old and he is still growing! I do not even bother to keep track of where mine is. He is always near me, and I have absolutely no fear in turning my back on him. I regularly kneel in the run, and he likes to come over and wipe the muck from his beak onto my neck. It is so gross, but at least he is not attacking.

My guy is only about 8 months old now. He is a fascinating creature to watch.
As a kid my aunt had mean roosters so that sticks with me. While I keep an eye on him I do not fear this one.

I got attacked by my uncle's rooster when I was very young, so I was terrified to learn that I had 3 in my batch. One passed away last August. He was just a few months old. His brother kept attacking my feet randomly until just about a week or two ago, when he suddenly became a momma's boy (this is the same rooster that rammed his 2" spurs into my kneecap while trying to kill a bucket that I was holding). And then there's gigantor: Swifty the Sapphire Gem (my sister named him after Taylor Swift just to annoy me). He had bitten me ONCE in the eye when I was still trying to figure out his gender (I refused to believe his crowing meant that he was a boy! ), and since then I have become wary of him getting into my lap. But if he is out and I am in my lawn chair, he is on me, and he is trying to clean my hair.
