Sapphire Gem Egg or…?

I have what was sold to me as a Sapphire Olive Egger but since she doesn’t have a crest I was thinking she’s a Sapphire Gem. I got her with another OE/Gem and 2 Cream Legbars. All 16 weeks today. My lighter OE/Gem is closest to lay with big red comb/wattles, squatting and roaming the nesting boxes. Well…we got a new egg today!!!!! My question is, with the color (cream) would she more likely be a Gem or OE? OR…is it more likely one of the CL laid it even though they don’t look mature enough yet? Cream Legbars typically lay blue eggs, if they are purebred.

Yes, none of those are from Cream Legbars. This is cream legbar:

In my experience, at least for the Legbars I've had, they lay a sort of a light teal rather than what I would call a true blue. Although this may be subject to change as only one of my four is laying as yet.

My sapphire gem lays a speckled egg, here are 3 of her eggs. She has a pretty heavy bloom so sometimes the speckles are not as obvious.

Cream Legbars typically lay blue eggs, if they are purebred.

They look pretty purebred but I didn’t know if it was more likely for the Gem to lay a cream or the CL. I guess my Gem is laying

So pretty! I really didn’t think this one (the cream one, the other 2 are from my sexlinks) was from the CL cause they still have zero red in their tiny combs and no wattles but didn’t know who was more likely to lay cream. How often does your CL lay? I see varying estimates on different sites.

I love the speckles. One of my red sexlinks lays speckled eggs and I love them so much. Sometimes very dark speckles and sometimes just little ones on the top but always so pretty. I know with this being my Gem’s first egg, the color will change. I do love the cream though!

At the moment, about every 3rd day. I collected her 4th egg today. At least one of my others should be laying within the next week to ten days.

That’s great! I can’t wait till mine start laying. They’re 16 weeks too so I know I probably have a month or more. Their combs are still so tiny and zero pink or red in them. Did your CL’s comb get pretty big? What age did she start to lay?

Between twenty and twenty-one weeks. But my last flock of Legbar and Legbar crosses were thirty-one weeks before they started to lay. So, you might have quite a wait! But I hope not. Rain is the one that's laying, she's the first one in this photo.
