This is too funny. In the clip the Alaskan governor pardons the 2008 Thanksgiving turkey while others are being butchered behind her. The butcher in the background helps make the shot. Where else and by who else would you see a scene like this. Go Sarah.

They showed that clip on the evening news with the slaughtering fuzzed out. They even commented that it was too graphic to show on t.v. The newscast was followed by many meaty commercials for McDonald's, Chic-fil-A, KFC and Jenny-O turkey. Huh?!?!

Actually, if you watch the turkeys legs, you can see the struggle.

I watched the MSNBC report. The story wasn't about her pardoning the turkey, but about her doing the interview while the birds were being killed in the background. Supposedly the reporter asked her if she wanted to do the interview like that and she said it wasn't a problem.

MSNBC blurred it out and said that children should leave the room. Heaven forbid they see anything of what goes on in between the turkey running around on the farm and ending up in the frozen food aisle....
