I posted on FB, what I'd do if I were Governor of Oregon (home of the squatch).

I'd have the dept of Fish and Game institute a season on Sasquatches. One per day and two in possession, after the first day of the season.

The season goes from Jan1 to Dec 31. I'd make sure everyone knew that the first person to "harvest" one would hold the record for largest Sasquatch ever taken. They would be the first person in the record books.

That would do two things.
1. It would prove that there are no Sasquatches, because hunters will hunt ANYTHING if you give them a chance.
2. It would drastically reduce people dressing up to make people *think* they were a Sasquatch. The first guy to dress up and then get shot will pretty well send a strong message.

People would view Oregon as a very tongue-in-cheek state.

I have heard that they will steal Poultry. One case I heard of had a hen stolen and her feathers placed in a row on the ground.

I am a certified trainer of Leave No Trace which is an outdoor ethics advocacy for reducing human impact on wilderness. Bigfoot, or Sasquatch as they are formally known, are our heroes and program representatives, since their passage in the wild is relatively unnoticed.
