Savannah Dropped Dead

Morning, our chicken, Savannah, appeared healthy and happy last night during her usual chicken run. Next, she squatted like she was going to lay an egg and then fell over. We placed her in her hen house and she laid there for about 3 minutes with eyes clsed. suddenly, seizure like thrashing abuot 30 seconds and then she was dead. Does anyone know what might have happend? Heart attack? Virus? She was just 1 year and 2 weeks. Needless to say, we are so heavy hearted this morning. Also, we now only have 1 chicken. She seems okay, will there be issues as she goes solo? Thanks everyone, Sarah

She might have been egg impacted from the way it sounds. Sorry for your loss. Consider getting a couple of more chickens about the same age as your other hen. Make sure you get them from a VERY reputable person and quarantine them once you get them. Remember biosecurity.
