Saw a freaking BOBCAT this morning! Help with ideas?

point being, use your head to deter predators, before you have to resort to force. If there's no other way, that's one thing. No one expects you to feed the local wildlife, but there are ways to discourage them that don't harm anything. Using the term "freaking" is antagonistic and implies that you are afraid of any type of predator. Why would you live where you do and not expect it? I don't blame you for wanting to take precautions or measures to make it go away, it just seemed like an over-reaction, to me.

It was the element of surprise that scared me. To use the word "Freaking" was just a form of expression. Your putting so much more into this than there really is.

Yes, I expect to run into all kinds of predators, beings that I have chickens and predators will be lured by them. I also have rights as a livestock owner to protect my livestock. I am a citizen of the law and I intent to follow those laws.

I think "freaking" is a lot milder than what I would have said had I been surprised like that.. I know this for a fact, because I have said, holy ----, f----bear, dog,coon etc.
so if a bobcat would surprise me I wouldn't be holier than thou, .. If you need any words or phrases to cover any subject, just email me off line.. [;-)

Urine from an uneutered male cat will deter the bobcat. Dump some soiled litter around the perimeter of your property. Especially in the area you saw him.

Yes they do...a friend of mine ordered some fox urine or something bizarre like that from there. Cabelas ROCKS!
