If you have a humane society or animal control in your area report the store too them for inhumane treatment.
Also when you see abuse or mistreatment, like this you stay there until its corrected.
If you can you go back as often as possible and keep an eye on the treatment to be sure its kept at a proper standard.
Animals cant speak for themselves and too many people only care when there is no effort involved.
You did right be reporting to manager now please keep on the mission of those chicks having the proper care while in the care of the store.

Tractor Supply does stuff like this but won't sell me 2 chicks to add to my existing group of chicks in the brooder. I no longer do business with Tractor Supply.

Please update One the hardware stores near me was selling chicks and a lot of them had poopy butt and a little blood I let the guy know and just said ok and walk away so I follow him and asked when was he going to take care of the problem

So I went and checked on the chicks at TSC and they were not has full but still a tad bit crowded. Dont know how some one could do anything like this, luckily this time there were no dead chicks. that was just the worst seeing those babys laying there getting stepped on last time.

I would call corporate offices. Send them the pics. I rarely buy anything at Tsc anymore. I use a family owned feed store and they are very personable.

This kind of crap makes me irate..and I might be the only one that believes this but it should be illegal for these store to have chicks/ducklings like this.
