is this normal? did i treat for no reason? i had read numerous times that if a bird passes a worm in their stool that it is a sign of a heavy infestation. i definitely saw a 2" roundworm in poop on the droppings board on 4/13. treated with .5 ml/6 lbs of bird, in the water, with wazine/piperazine-17 on the 14th. have been a poop scholar for the last two days and i'm not seeing ANY. did i do something wrong?

since i see NO worms, do i still need to follow up with ivomectin/ivermectin eprinex on the neck in two weeks? it is killing me to lose so many eggs for so long and i'm really wondering if i should have done the first treatment, as well as wondering about doing another.

you did the right thing. i hope you wormed all your chickens with wazine. remember, you may or may not see worms in the poop after worming,it depends on the wormload. if you dont see them, they have been absorbed as proteins in the chickens system. if you do see them,it means you had an infestation. I strongly recommend following up with ivermectin pour on,just as you planned to do. ivermectin will kill roundworm larva that have hatched since the 1st usage of the wazine. ivermectin pour on will also kill a host of other type worms too. the wazine got the roundworms, now you want to get the rest of them and others. ivermectin pour on will also kill lice and mites, another advantage of the pour on. yes,i know you're looking at a month of discarding eggs in the garbage. but it'll mean your chickens will be healthy, feel better and be happy. happy chickens lay happy eggs lol. dont forget to give them some probiotics a couple days after worming them to build up their immune system.
