Hi all,
I hope someone can help me 3 house goslings 2 5 weeks and a 4 week old. The 4 week old seems to have a sore looking beak that seems to be flaking. And we she seems to have got sores on the top of her feet. The others are unaffected even though they shere the same living and sleeping space.
How should I treat this if at all?
all help greatfull received.

Could she be sticking her bill through metal fencing and causing this? as for feet what is she walking on? some soaks in warm water with Epsom salt may help her feet. just don't let her drink it because ES is also a laxative. I use a gal bucket put nice warm water in and a cup of ES mix well them let the goose/ duck etc stand in it both feet while I hold on to them. usually at least 5 min. As for her face looks like she is rubbing her bill on something. you might try putting some Apple Cider Vinegar into their drinking bucket 1-2 tab to 1 gal of water letting her and the rest wash their faces in it it has some bacterial fighting proprieties but determining what she is doing to cause this needs to be figured out if you can.

There indoor geese for most of the time and only go out in the garden when myself or my husband are out there. We dont have any metle fencing at all in the house or outside. They all sleep in a travel cot so that's nice and soft.
I will give the ES a go.
As I said the other 2 are fine and there always together.
It's like it's really dry and flaky.

It's also only on the top of her feet so I don't think it's something she is standing in.
Should I take her to the vet?
I'm quite worried even if she seems happy.
I really appreciate and value your advice

If you have a vet that will see water fowl and can afford it by all means then you'll know exactly what your dealing with and they can treat her it's all a guessing game with us. Could be something she is missing in her diet and the others aren't having a problem with it. Let us know.
