Sawdust as bedding?

I have a few bags of pine pellet horse bedding, which one uses by mixing it with a bit of water until it breaks down into sawdust. It's the same as pine kitty litter. Could I use this as the base of a deep bed system, putting shavings on top? Is there any health risk to using sawdust in a coop?

Thanks

I don't think there would be any other health risk involved besides what would be with the dust that is in and created by the pine bedding. Might just make the coop dustier (if that could be anyways lol) The stuff we get is dusty anyways, but it's $6.25 for almost 10 cubic foot.

I've used pelleted bedding in the chicken coop before with no problems. Now I'm on shredded paper but previously I have used everything from straw to Woody Pet. They're pretty sensible birds
