Would rather be gardening
WHOA that is super interesting! Although I am imagining going to someone’s house and opening the fridge to get a soda…only to find it is full of axolotls . How long can they stay in “hibernation“ for?NO! Don't worry, axolotls can be fridged in emergencies and it slows down there metabolisium (I spelled that wrong) so they don't need to eat as much. If I put them in the freezer they would die. Yes, I have two. One is male by what the re-homer said (he is a little over a year old, he is a accidental rescue) and the other I bought as a baby from MOD Aquatics (A well rated breeder). She is one of the many reasons my axolotls are living today. We got mis-information from another breeder that made it out that cycling was optional. IT IS NOT OPTIONAL! Your axolotl will die in it's own waste without a cycle. A cycle s when you create beneficial bacteria that removes ammonia from there waste along with weekly water changes. Sadly I don't think we can fix the filter but we are replacing it. It was given to us for free (I don't think they knew it was broken). The baby I named Wildstyle because it's a wild type and that name remined me of the LEGO MOVIE character wildstyle (The gender isn't known until the baby is around a year+). The adult is named Toothless after the How to train your Dragon movies.
I didn’t realize the filters were so complicated. Again, I hope you can get it fixed!
