SAY WHAT??? Coop and run + how many chickens

love all this help guys! I have been thinking about doing the sand thing in the coop with some DE, right now they are all out in the temporary run and house ( a dog crate they can go in). I will try my best not to go all soft hearted and take the new baby. Watching one of my EE, I sure hope it's not a Roo, don't want trouble with the neighbors.

Watch your birds. If they start pecking each other and fighting then they may be too cramped. I don't think you need to worry about it because your birds have plenty of run area and aren't confined to just the coop. If you add another bird and after the initial pecking order is rearranged they start misbehaving then you may be too crowded
