They were hatched out here on May 28th, are "wish list" chicks from Hinkjc, *BUT*.... too many boys!!! Absolutely CANNOT keep.
I have defied all laws of statistics known to mankind or chickendom; my last hatch was 8 out of 10 were roos, this time 3 outta 4 were roos!!

Anyway, my 3 boys are being re-homed to a nice (local) guy who appreciates the lovely genetics & Buff Orps in general, so it's a very good situation,
*BUT*
Is still a bummer to say bye-bye... cute lil' fluffybutts, we sure do get attached, don't we?
Just posting to download to those who I know understand!!

On a happy note, our 1 Buff Orp Pullet is an absolute LOVE... Spoiled & snuggled daily!!
Here she is:

I am so glad you found a good home for them! Still, it must be hard to say goodbye to those beauties.

Your avatar made me chuckle!

Cute!

Glad you found a great home for them.

I swear, last night I was thinking about this and it still hurts when I think of some of the boys (and girls) I rehomed. I miss them! I want to keep every bird here that made it to adulthood here. I have one Buff Orp hen from Jody's birds, Nugget, and she is a sweetheart. She's never leaving, ever. They do sneak into our hearts, that's true.

Well, they are gone

Thanks, all.. The new owner loved them, absolutely LIT UP & was very excited when he saw them, so I'm sure all will be well.

For all those out there who think they are "just chickens"... They don't know what they are missing, huh?

I'm off to give extra snuggles & treats to "Beepers" (BO pullet) and our other chookies.

xoxo

PS: thanks for understanding

No matter how we loose them wheather it's by re-homing them, predator or illness, they will always have a special place in our hearts.

Aww, they are handsome fellas.

It is tough to part with them after raising them up from little ones.

I'm glad to hear you found them a good home. I have several to find homes for here too and I know it will be hard. They're all so sweet!
