Scabbed Spot on Pekin

Hey All,

I noticed yesterday that my pekin has a spot on her belly that's scabbed. After a warm bath I was able to get some of the scabbed off and it is oozing pus. No blood with it and she is acting normal with activity and food and water intake. Any advice on what I can do? Should I remove the scabbed? Continue with Vetericyn?

I can't get her into a vet until December 16th! I cant leave her like this.

Any advice will help and be much appreciated!

I'd apply antibiotic ointment several times a day and keep her on as clean bedding as is possible.

Should I keep soaking her with the Epsom salt bath and try to get that scab off?

To a certain extent, the scab is keeping further infection out. Eventually the antibiotic ointment would moisten/loosen/help to remove the scab.

Thank you so much. I could make it through a dog attack with the turkey, but this little baby has a booboo and I'm freaking out! Haha!
