I was doing my weekly health check to the girls today, and noticed that one of my BR, Pepper's scales on her left leg has been ripped off. Ehh... haven't dealt with this before. We rinsed it in warm water and is is now bandaged. I am thinking that I should put neosporin on it? Just making sure that's okay. I removed her from the flock to be sure to avoid damage, and she is now in my injured pen in the garage. She does not have a roost, and I added a small dog bed to make her comfortable. Also, if there's anything else you recommend I do than please share.

Thanks. Here's the bandage (naughty girl stepping in her treat dish... [IMG])

Edited to add: No, she does not have scaly leg mites.

sounds like you have it under control, might be a good idea to apply some neo. when you redo the bandage. what do you think happened did she scrap it somehow? She'll probably love all the TLC... all the best [IMG]

Quote:Alright, thanks. I'll apply it tomorrow morning, when I change the bandage. I think I'll change it about every five hours, since it's just cut up shirts... lol.
