photo taken after I applied copious amounts of antibiotic cream.
Our smallest chicken (a buff Orpington named Puff) was severely pecked by one of our turkey's. Her skin over her scalp was completely removed. I poured water over the area and then put triple antibiotic ointment on it (read this on another user's post). I'm not sure what else to do.
Do I need to remove the turkey's from the hen house? They have all gotten along so well I'm not sure what happened. When I went out there our male turkey was pecking and chasing Puff. shoed him away and as soon as I turned around he went back after Puff. I've taken Puff inside and put her in a large dog cage.
Any insights as to what I need to do would be great. The turkey's were for Thanksgiving I can get rid of them if I need to. The Chickens are our pets. Not for eating and I don't want them hurt.
thanks for any feed back,
Maddie
