Scalped Chicken. Help, please. :’(

If the hair tie dosen't hold you can superglue some feathers together. Not sure about chicken skin but I have used superglue on my own cuts and gashes and on some of my cats. It works. Or you can spend abit more on the liquid skin version.

That’s a good idea! The hair tie has worked and stayed. I tried to make sure it wasn’t pulling to much. 🤞

I want to take it off but I’m concerned it will be too early.

I took the hair tie off 3 days ago and the skin stayed up! I keep putting Neosporin on it. When do I stop the Neosporin?

Again, I cannot thank all of you enough!

Glad to hear it's going well!
Do you have an updated photo?
I would keep Neosporin on the wound to help keep the scab fairly soft.

Thank you! I have continued to put it on. When do you think I can/should stop? ☺️

I have been meaning to take a photo but haven’t in a few days.

The picture of her head is from right after I took the hair tie off on Wed, 3-31-21.

The other one is from Saturday. She had been roosting on a different feeder so I changed it hoping 🤞 she wouldn’t roost on the new one. I was wrong. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I wanted to give an update about Emma.

She is doing soooooo well! Her head seems to be healed and new feathers are growing in!

I CANNOT thank all of you enough for your kindness and advice! Thank you from both of us!

some of the Neosporin is still on/in her feathers, which is why some of them look dread-ish. ☺️
