Hii have a very old male cortunix.
4 years old George
4 weeks ago we got him a new gf as his others had passed. She is 18 months old. They settled beautifully then last night she attacked and scalped George

They are now separated.
George just wants to sleep now. I have him wrapped up on my tummy right now.

He won't touch live worms but I managed to feed him water. I've put savlon on the wound.

Any tips pls

I know very little about quail, but I would continue to clean the wound with saline and apply the Savlon Cream twice a day until it heals. He could have a head injury, but he might just be in shock. Sugar water (1 tsp of sugar per cup of water) or homemade electrolytes can be given for a day or so. Placing a drop or two up to the side of his beak which he may take and swallow. Mix a little of his feed with the water to make a mushy feed for him. Egg (soft cooked) would also be good for when he begins to eat. Make sure he is warm enough. Let us know how he is doing.

Thanks, I have been spoon feeding him water with sugar and salt mix. Just popping it upto his beak and he is drinking.

He is not eating, I put fresh worms right upto his beak but wasn't interested

However he is responding to being petted. When he gets strokes he stands upright and pushes into my hand . He is a pet and has been handled since hatching

Tube feeding can be done, but being so little that might be difficult. I will dip my chickens’ beak into a small bowl of wet feed or scrambled soft egg to get them eating 2-3 times a day.
