I have chickens that always get scaly feet what's happening I want to get more chickens but I been having this problem. their feet are bad don't know what to do and they are not old

Can you get some pictures of their feet? From your description it sounds like scaly leg mites. The easiest treatment for those is elector psp, that way you don't have to slather vaseline on their legs. With elector psp, all you do is dilute it according to the directions and give the chickens feet and legs (I place them in a bucket and hold them so the water is up to their stomach, you can use the same solution for all chickens) a 10 minute soak without washing off the solution. No repeat as it also kills the eggs. You can spray your coop with the solution that you soaked their feet in.

that sounds like to much work I have 20 chickens I always spray down and clean out chick run don't know why this keeps happening what else can I do

If it's scaly leg mites they need to be treated because they can be passed onto other chickens easily and they can get really bad and debilitating. The 10 minute elector psp soak is the easiest and quickest method out there... The vaseline method can take weeks of treatment.

If it is scaly leg mite, the Elector PSP is the easiest fix to the problem. Yeah it might take a while but it should be over after 1 treatment. All the other things you are doing don’t deal with scaly leg mite.

They may have come to you with mites or caught them from other birds. Having this issue doesn’t mean you aren’t keeping a clean coop, it’s just something that happens sometimes and it’s easy to treat it’s just time consuming.

SLM can be very uncomfortable for chickens. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort, and once you have treated them, and their coop/run you should be able to keep them away.

If you aren't able, maybe find someone to help or rehome them to someone who is willing to treat them. Chickens with SLM are miserable and it saddens me to think about them untreated with something that is relatively easy to treat and prevent

Here is the best article, in my opinion, on BYC, with remedies you most likely have on hand.

thank you where can I buy elector psp
You can either buy a large bottle from here, it’s expensive for the large bottle but it will pretty much last you forever: https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=ac577859-6e1d-4028-b018-888e771b573f
Or you can buy a small vile of it here, this makes 1 gallon of solution which is enough to soak all of your chickens and spray down your whole coop: https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=ac577859-6e1d-4028-b018-888e771b573f

Elector psp also treats lice and mites. So if your birds have any lice you can give them a nice spray down on the skin and it gets rid of them in only one treatment as well. I sprayed all of my chickens all over one time and I haven’t seen live again in 9 months.
