Cool. Suppose I could hit them up with the coconut oil for a couple of days, as suggested by @KikisGirls just in case. I've got plenty of it... it's just that it sounds like it wouldn't work, at least not once they've kicked around a bunch of dirt looking for grubs.

I like to pack them with bag balm or vaseline, stays put better if it's not too warm.

Thanks for checking the pics out. I'm trying the coconut oil treatment for a week, to see how that goes (mine is infused with garlic, so every invertebrate within a 3 mile radius is going to be avoiding them). I'll order a dedicated product to use as a preventative after that. Would rather prevent than have them suffer in silence until I notice an issue.
