Scaly Leg Mites?

Just about any ointment or oil will suffocate the mites, rub it in up under the scales good...maybe once or twice a week(some folks go daily) for a couple-few weeks. How's that for vague? Bag balm, vaseline, castor oil, cooking oil, neem oil are a few that I've seen used. They all kinda make mess, will get on their feathers too, as legs touch when roosting...oil's probably 'cleaner' as you can wipe the excess off easier. You may not see any significant improvement for weeks, if scale beds are damaged they may never look quite 'right'.

No, it does not(no matter how many places you see it says so on the net)... would be especially ineffective for scaly leg mites.

Thanks - I’ll give it a try and see if anything changes on her legs.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
