Scaly Leg Mites?

This is a 4-1/2 year old hen. Her legs have looked like this for some time. She has had a gimpy gait since she was young and hasn’t laid eggs in 2-3 years. I’m wondering if she has a scaly mite infestation. Thoughts?

Looks like it. Is get some nustock ir Vaseline abd brush it onto her legs with a tooth brush.

Might be a good idea to treat all the chickens in the coop as scaley leg mites tend to be contagious. Smearing vaseline on the legs suffocates the mites, repeat for five days to kill the eggs. If anyone knows a better procedure, please correct me. It will take some time for the damaged, lifted scales to drop off and new, healthy legs to appear.
