I adopted a few ISA Browns about 6 months ago. They all had mild cases of bumblefoot that I treated, and it resolved.

They’ve all been fine until the last few weeks. I have one that’s begun limping. She will put both feet on the ground, but she definitely has a noticeable limp on one side.

I cannot find any injuries, but I did think her scales might look weird. But maybe I’m just paranoid and noticing because looking for the issue?

Could this be a mild case of SLM?

You are welcome to post pictures of her and her legs and feet. Does she have any swelling in her joints or green bruising? Could she have sprained her leg or foot?

There is some tan coloring near where the scales are open. It might be a start of scaly leg mites and maybe she it is pecking at her irritated legs. You could try applying some Nustock cream with sulfur daily, or Vicks salve both of which may kill the mites. Vaseline and other ointments may smother them.
