i did as you said, caught her and smeared Vaseline on with my fingers. is that the right way to do it? should i do it differently next time?

i've no idea where she sleeps!! she dosent like going into her cage at night so just goes somewhere else at night!!!!!

That is a classic post!
I've got to ask, how many chickens 'don't you keep' there.
Do they roost in the trees?
I said something similar to someone before I got the chickens here to sleep in coops.
