Scared Rooster

It's possible (depending on his age) his personality might have just naturally changed. That happens with roosters sometimes, they start off sweet but after growing up they turn mean. But there are other possibilities.

Have there been any big changes in the flock? Such as adding or subtracting chickens? Or a change in general or some event that might have stressed him out? Have you noticed anyone bullying or asserting themselves above him lately?
I have a small flock of four and he’s the only rooster. Even the other girls seem scared of him, and there’s only one hen he actually likes. Nothing has changed recently, so maybe he’s just aging 😢

If you've trimmed his nails and quicked him his feet and toes will be sore.Trimming his spurs will also make him sore. The perch should wide enough for him to rest and cover the top of his feet and toes to keep them warm.Chickens don't wrap their toes around their perch
I actually forgot to trim his nails and spurs, but his roost is wide enough, and I even added some padding on it.

Game chickens live longer than other chickens but that doesn't rule out sickness. If he's close to the hens but can't get to them its very frustrating. Why do you keep a rooster the hens dislike?

Game chickens aren't for beginners. They're aggressive to other birds and can be hard to manage.I've seen people kept hem in separate pens to avoid fights. If this rooster keeps biting you get rid of him
