i'm in the living room browsing BYC, folding laundry and watching the roast in the oven when out of the corner of my left eye i spy 'something' on the roof.

i let out a lovely howl and then snapped some photos...

they are about 24 weeks old. they release themselves from the runs everyday. today is the first day they decided to get up on our house.

i already made a pie today, so they aren't getting cake. i will try baking them some sugar cookies and see if that will appease them. cookies were necessary for my son's school party tomorrow, so that's what they get!

That's great. I heard something the other day that sounded like Santa and his 8 reindeer on the rooftop and when I went out the back door and looked up it was my 30 guineas!!!! They flew up in the big pecan tree, flew over to the roof, and where getting a good running start and flying off the roof to the pasture. They were all lined up in a row running like the wind. They were too quick for me to get a pic though. We live in an OLD 2 story plantation type home and we have 12 foot ceilings on both stories, so my roof is like 3 stories high. They were WAY up there just like it wasn't anything.
