So I recently picked up four Polish (supposedly, one is a Sultan) 8 week old chickens. Today I put a dish of grit in because my chickens get lots of opportunity to eat bugs and plants and what not. They all surrounded it, stared at it and made warning trills. It was one of the funniest things I have seen all week!
Apparently they didn't get a regular grit ration, lol. I never knew how much chooks would enrich my joy in life!
