Hello, I am new to all of this. We have 3, 2.5 month old pullets. We left for a few days, came back to one suspicious poop, then just now found this one. Didn't see anything moving. But guessing this is not good. They did eat some whole wheat hamburger buns.
Thoughts on this poop ?
Thank you, sleepless in salcha

Eggcessive,
Thank you ! Did the photo come thru ?
The first link was great ! Nothing like her poop in there tho. I will try second.
It was soft to runny, hao white cap on end but a bunch of seed like things. The do roam around yard in day time.

Yes it came through. It looks okay, but there may be some reddish orange in it---hard to tell in a picture. Just watch for any blood which could mean coccidiosis. Runny poops can be cecal poops which happen about every 9 or 10 poops.

Thanks, I was having a hard time with color too. And I stared at it ! Lol
There are flecks in it, which I tried to spread with grass, and it did. The hard thing is they roam so I don't always see their poop, this was a present right on deck :)
We did take them off the medicated feed about 2 weeks ago. Thanks again.

That is a little orangy. Only the 2 worst strains out of 9 will cause blood in the stool. The best way to judge is how they look--if anyone if hunching or looking lethargic, suspect cocci at this age. I might get a bottle or packet of Corid tomorrow just in case. It won't hurt them if you decide to treat them. Here is a link to read: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/12/coccidiosis-what-backyard-chicken.html
