Just thought I would share this little story with you from today and ask a few questions.

I put my school laptop on the bleachers in the gym because I had to go to a track meet and couldn't bring it with me. When I got back, someone had unfolded the bleachers and some chairs were set out around the gym, because they were getting ready for some music concert thing. I looked around and my laptop was gone, along with my art stuff I had set next to the laptop!

I got all worried because I had no idea where it was(and I still don't).

It has my name on it, so I bet they put it in the office. But the office was locked up.
But oh well; I went home anyway and hopefully my laptop and art stuff will be waiting in the school office.

My kids school laptops were acquired by a grant from Dell. The thing is if the school cannot provide a safe lock up for your laptop then they cannot hold you responsible for it if it turns up missing. They are requiring assignments that are done on the laptop and they cannot let you fail because your laptop is missing. Many times the laptops are picked up and put in a class room and it takes days before it's noticed.

My daughter lost hers once and I was frantic. The principal told me not to worry about it. She'd get another if it didn't turn up. It was in a classroom locked up.

OK I got my laptop back.

Someone put it safely in the principal's office.

I also got my art stuff back, too. But I did get a strike because they said I should have put the laptop in the office's laptop cart. Oh well.

I'm just glad I got it back!

I don't trust ANYONE at my school. Everyone gets stuff stolen all the time. My friend Lindsay got her new ipod and left it in her backpack for a sec to go to the restroom came back and someone had searched through and stole it. I knew someone who would buy the backpacks with the double zippers and lock the two together so no one could get the backpack open.

Emzyyy's school sounds like mine. You're lucky, dude.
What's up with the strikes thing? Three strikes and you're out?
School's should be almost out for you so that's alright, right?

I think the school is trying to teach responsibility...
thats all im gonna say....
