Ryan could almost taste the tension in the air...surely these other students, the ones who had been here longer, had heard him say this before?
He looked around quietly, noticed Ther's demeanor.
He could relate. He had often run into trouble with his emotions. But it was more that he didn't have them than that they ruled his life. Maybe he would decide to do something dangerous with no thought as to who might get hurt. Another time he might not feel grief or happiness or sorrow where another person should...he wouldn't react. Wouldn't help if someone needed it...
And through the last six years this non concern had grown...Ryan knew that. He didn't like to think about it but he knew.
Would he get to a place where he didn't care at all? Would he even care if he hurt anyone with his gift?
He shuddered slightly, looking down.
The professor waited a few moments, then said, "Alright. We can all head down to the gym, now." He said.
Luna got to her feet quickly, grabbed her book bag and walked quickly out of the classroom to the stairs, her wings tucked tightly against her back. She jumped off the railing and flew to the bottom floor, too lazy to walk all the way down. She walked briskly down the stairs to the gym, getting there in record time. She sat against the wall, slouching down as she tried to calm herself. Only then did she realize that her wings were white. She stood up and shook her wings off, flake of ice coming off till her wings were completely black again.
