Spencer shook his head and followed Preston 


Dylan shifted back and joined the group "Well, you can know that you are not the only one who has killed family with your gifts. A lot of the other kids have, others have hurt friends without killing." He shrugged "It happens, and we learn to deal with it"

Her eyes narrowed. "I don't think you understand." Her chilling tone came back. "My temper can't be managed. And wen I finally snap, I can't control myself as I end up hurting or killing someone." She said through clenched teeth. "I didn't kill my father by accident. I was beaten till I was almost killed myself. I got so angry, and the next thing I knew, I found myself covered in his blood, a shadow orb floating in the middle of the room, and my father dead on the ground. THAT was out of anger. I couldn't control my anger, and therefore couldnt control my powers."

Preston was still walking backwards when he bumped into Spencer, accidentally sending a very small electric shock into him. (1/4 mil volts how about?) He jumped forwards to break contact and turned around. "Sorry! he said releasing the remainder of the electricity into a tree that smoked slightly when he did, but DID NOT CATCH FIRE.

Spencer looked at him, then at the tree "It's alright" He said "I'm Spencer, by the way"

"Oh, i'm Preston." He said realizing he had never introduced himself. He gestured to the conversation happening in the clearing just in front of them. "Shall we join them?" he asked. it would be less awkward if he went with someone else.

"Then calm yourself and come to the school so you can learn to control your powers. The professor would not of sent us out here if he thought there was no way to help you control your powers"

Her eyes narrowed further. "School? And where is that? How can they help me control my powers? By testing my temper? I could completely snap. Thankfully, this time, I was still slightly in control, or I would've killed that guy in a heartbeat." She said, her voice flat,

Preston entered the clearing again just to hear Valentina say, "I would have killed that guy in a heart beat." "I'm really not that easy to kill." Preston said frowning slightly. too much self pity for him to keep his good mood.

"The School for the Gifted. It's about three miles that way" He said, pointing "And the professor probably has other ways to teach you without getting you angry. He's telepathic so he would know when to stop even if he did try that." He shrugged "I am just a student there, not a teacher"
