I am doing a 5 month long project for school about ducks. I'm looking for a breed of duck that my pretend business would be most successful with. I need something I can use for meat, sell eggs, and grow/lay quickly. I know there is a breed like this out there I just can't recall the name. My calls would certainly not work for this project LOL!

I'd say that the better choice for a business it's some type of commercial mix (like Isa browns in chickens). Unless you want to hatch your own ducklings (breeding mixes unlikely will give you offspring that produces the same amount of eggs/meat). In the second case I'd say Campbells (they were created to lay a lot and have a fair amount of meat)

I would like to also hatch because I feel like it could be more "cost" efficent.

It all depends OP wants more meat or more eggs. (Dual purpose breeds mainly produce more meat or more eggs, it's difficult to have a breed that can produce both in equally good amounts)
For more eggs I'd also suggest Welsh Harlequins.
Maybe also Silver Appleyards
I'm still not sure. I'm trying to plan out what could make more money in the long run. I was thinking slaughter drakes and keep any ducks that are close to what I'm looking for. And of course keep a few drakes around to hatch with. So I'm thinking more eggs than meat?
