Good grief! Our schools have been in since August 5th. And you are in Minnesota - you get so much snow!
Our school system is hopelessly afraid of snow. We lose 30 days to snow and usually a couple to flooding.
Yes we do. Normally they will keep the kids in school during blizzards with a few feet of suspecting snow or more. They will only cancel if there was an ice storm before it snowed. We had one snow day last year. They will close school for cold weather as well. It can get as low as -20F or more actual temp with a colder windchill.
