Ok I want to get into nursing but it's so hard!I'm doing upgrading at a local collage to get ready to get into collage, I have not finished high school so the marks in this program must be good. I'm getting a in the 90's for math and bio and so far 85 in chem though I'm redoing the test tomorrow to see if I can get a better mark and because I have only done one test chem doesn't count yet. English is what's killing me! I am so bad at grammer and essays ,so bad at alot of the english we are doing that I'm getting discouraged. Some days I feel like I should have been in a normal adult high school though this program is way better, when I get my marks they add 10% to my marks if I go and continue my studies with them. This nursing program you must have high grades as it's competitive, I just want to cry

I know I have a few back up plans but I have my heart set on nursing( could do psw, or the chef school they offer). So stressed I'm even getting cold sores!

first,, breathe .. youll do fine. nursing is such a great profession to be a part in. that was my dream, then the airline industry sucked me in now going on 12 years.

You know, I've found that a lot of young people who feel comfortable with math and the sciences struggle in English, and vice versa. I don't know what kind of program you're in, but lots of schools offer tutoring programs and "homework helpers." I'll bet the college where you're taking your classes has something like that. And if not, you could always find a tutor on your own. Even if it's a college class, check at your local board of education...they often have a list of teachers who do extra tutoring. I'm sure you'll get into your nursing program...

You sound like a hard worker!

Don't worry too much... that will just make school miserable. Work hard and REMEMBER you MUST play hard!

As for scores and junk, if you can excel in math parts of exams, don't worry too much about the English part, it will often make up for it. The important things are recommendation and such on applications.
