I have a friend that just emailed me and asked when they hatched if I wanted them. I agreed.

Then I asked what kind are they hatching?

She said, she didn't know and did I want them or not?

well, I suppose better to ask now than when they're all hatched and peeping .... and unable to unload them on the parents of the schoolkids.

Hi Maple! Find out what they are hatching. For all you know, they could be hatching out velociraptors like in Jurassic Park.

They might be guineas or some other noisy things you don't need. And have the school fork out some money for the feed.

This should be a good deal no matter what they are. Keep the ones you want, and eat or sell the rest. When you're certain of the ones you don't want you can sell them as started chicks, or raise them to adulthood. I don't think the school owes you $$$ for feed, nor is it likely you'd get it anyway.

Be careful though, they might mistake your drakes as velociraptors, and we'll get velociraptor/duck crosses. o_o;
