Hi everyone, I have some questions about one scissor beak. One of my Ameracauna girls has it pretty bad and what I'm most concerned about is how slow she is growing. I've tried the whole wet feed thing and she just doesn't care for it. She still will peck at the dry feed and slowly eat it/try to eat it that way. However she does get water perfectly fine and isn't bullied by any of the other girls thankfully. This evening I picked her up and checked out her body just to see if there was anything else going on that could be bothering her, and all I noticed was some swelling on the bottom of one of her feet that didn't look like bumble foot and a little bit of down missing on her breast. I've had my flock pushing two months on the 29th, the rest of my hens are pretty decently grown except for this one who still has her down feathers on her breast and around her vent/belly button areas. I've thought about clipping her beak but it's still pretty decent looking. I'm just so worried that because she's a good month behind size wise (and developmentally) compared to my other girls, that she's not getting enough food. What can I do that can help her grow and get that nutrition to promote growth? What are some things I can do to get her to eat the wet feed? I'm at such a loss, and I don't want to get rid of her because my family and I have gotten so attached to her, it would break my heart.
